xxxHolic Kei
Season 2 Episode Guide
The second season of the xxxHolic anime, entitled xxxHolic Kei, began airing on the 3rd of April 2008 and is currently still in it's initial run.
xxxHolic Kei (Kei is Japanese for continuation / sequel) maintained the fresh character designs of the first season yet obviously benefited from an overall better quality of animation and superb detail in backgrounds and a slightly different take on the special effects.
The story also benefited from a faster and more exciting pace due mostly to the story arcs from the manga that it had reached which dealt with a lot more action and character development than the first season.
This xxxHolic Kei Episode Guide contains summaries of each episode in the season accompanied with screencaps, my original impressions of the episodes which I wrote after their airings in Japan as well as crossover or cameo information.
If you're planning on watching the xxxHolic anime series (or even the movie) along with the Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle anime series (and movie or OAV) I highly recommend reading my CLAMP Anime Timeline which contains the correct order to watch everything to make the chronology work.
