The
official Tsubasa Shunraiki website has updated with a new layout and information such as the name for the xxxHolic counterpart,
xxxHolic Shunmuki.
With Shunmuki translating as "Spring Exposure" and the obvious Spring theme of the OAVs (as seen by the sakura trees on the new site layout) I think it becomes pretty obvious that the assumed translation of "
Tsubasa Shunraiki" as meaning "Book of Thunder" is incorrect and that the alternate translation "Spring of Next Year" is the correct one.

Update: Just to confirm that FictionJunction YUUKA is returning for the music. Nice!

Some of you may have noticed a few changes over the weekend.
I've been adjusting the header text sizes and fonts as well as cleaning up the image spacings in the
Tsubasa Anime Episode Guides and adding DVD information to the episode pages.
Speaking of DVDs, I've also updated the
Tsubasa DVD Shopping Guide and the
Tsubasa Manga Shopping Guide by adding all the latest cover images and shopping links for those DVDs and Mangas coming out in the next few months.
I've also added a cool feature I've been experimenting with on my
Sailor Moon site that you can see on the right hand nav menu that randomly shows a screencap from an anime episode. If you click on it, it'll take you to the episode guide for that Tsubasa anime episode. What do you think?
In the past few days I've seen
a lot of people visiting the
Tsubasa Shunraiki page so I'll try my best to add more media and info there asap. There's just not that much info out about it currently though.

Yui Makino (Japanese voice actress of Sakura) has let slip in her blog that the title of the upcoming Tsubasa OAV / Original Animation Video (or OAD / Original Animation DVD) will be called "
Tsubasa Shunraiki" which translates roughly as "Tsubasa Spring Thunder Chronicle" or "Tsubasa Book of Thunder in Spring". To keep things consistent I'll probably be doing what CLAMP NOW is doing and stick with referring to it as Tsubasa Shunraiki.
Still no word on what the sister
xxxHolic OAD will be called. "xxxHolic Shunraiki" maybe? Stay tuned!
