This episode had some nice scenes such the audience actually being shown how the mind control crystals are implanted on the men's foreheads and Sakura using the mirror (which is a version of The Mirror card from Card Captor Sakura) but overall this episode fell a bit flat. There just didn't seem to be much driving any of the characters. Fay didn't really do anything outstanding, neither did Mokona or Kurogane for that manner. All the characters simply seemed to be there because they have to be there.
I love most anime only episodes but this one was just so
bland. Here's hoping next week's anime only episode lives up to the preview. Features Sakura working for enough money to buy her feather which is for sale. Personally I think they should just steal it. It's hers anyway, right?

This was a rather interesting episode as the gang arrive in a world that's so similar to on they've been to before that all the events that take place are like an alternate version of a previous story which actually made it enjoyable to watch to spot the differences.
It was good to see Sorata and Arashi again with the later getting a lot more screentime though still in the housewife mode that she's been in throughout the series. When will we see Arashi pick up a sword like in X/1999?
The episode finished with a cliffhanger which makes this the second anime-only original story two parter! I love it!
A lot of people are bitching about how they want the next manga arc to hurry up and be adapted which features a LOT of X/1999 characters but that arc hasn't finished in the manga yet here in Japan so if it's going to be in this season, it'll have to be in the last few episodes.
Speaking of episodes, did a rough translation for the title for 49 and it reads as: "That Which is Warped". I'm sure there will be a better translation later but that should do for now.

This was a really cute episode featuring Kero from Card Captor Sakura. Not much in the way of story development. Definitly a stand alone episode but fun none the less.
Was a bit disapointed that Mokona didn't know who Kero was though as in the manga continuity the two Mokonas used to hang out with Kero, Yue, Yuko and Clow Reed quite a bit. Could be explained away that Kero was in his small form throughout this episode and Kero may have been in his big form when hanging out with Mokona in the past.
It was sweet to see Mokona call Yuko for someone to talk to as well. If only she would wear something else once in a while. ;)

This was a rather low key finale to this magical arc in my opinion and even though I loved the Kurogane flashbacks in the previous episodes and even liked the one in this episode, I REALLY think that more should have been focused on the gang's current situation.
Great to see more Fay magic though and the animation was very well done plus it was good to hear Maya's song that was on the Jet single included in the series as it really is a nice song.
An amazing arc who's finale didn't hold up. But it wasn't bad either. Just not great.
The next episode looks to be the best of the series, featuring CCS's Kero!

Just a raving post about how I can't wait for next week's episode which features Keroberos from Card Captor Sakura!!! Kero hasn't appeared in the Tsubasa manga yet (and probably won't) so I'm giving HUGE kudos to Bee Train for giving us what we want!
What's more it looks like they've gotten the same voice actor that voiced Kero in Card Captor Sakura!!! I'm working my way through the
second Card Captor Sakura DVD Box Set right now and the voice sounds identical!
Next week should really be great! You can watch a preview for the episode, narrated by Mokona & Kero
HERE.
In site news, I've added all the avaliable episode names to the list on the right. This series is flying!
