Anime News Network reports that Funimation is cracking down on copyrights to anime that they own the rights to. Tsubasa was mentioned suggesting that Funimation may be producing an English language version of the show. This has not officially been confirmed though.
A fansubbing group, Shinsen-subs has been shut down due to this rightening of rules.
More power to them I say. No matter what people say, subbing anime and offering it for download
is breaking the law, no matter what country you're in.
It'll be interesting to see if everyone will have Tsubasa Season 2 subs when the second season starts early next year.
Stay tuned for more.
Update: Several bittorrent sites have removed links to the Tsubasa subbed .avi files. I guess if you were waiting a bit before you downloaded them you waited too long. Seriously though, the series is now out on DVD for purchase from
YesAsia anyway. You can get crystal clear picture and sounds PLUS dvd extras and a box with the first volume. If you can't wait for an Aussie or US release, this may now be the way to go.
