Saturday, May 12, 2007 Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle #15 Cover and DVD news!  The cover for Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle #15 has been released so I've uploaded it to the Manga Page. It's one of my favourite covers in the series so far. The first to feature sakura flowers which is pretty unusual for CLAMP. In 8 days the first Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle DVD will be released! Woo Hoo! Amazon is still offering a 25% discount for all orders placed before the release date. You can get the regular DVD HERE and the "Starter Kit" which comes with the box HERE. I've already pre ordered mine! Can't wait!!! AnimeonDVD.com has already scored themselves a copy and have done a rather general review of it HERE. Well worth a look as it says what all the special features are (a LOT!) and that there is a 5.1 English surround audio mix!!! Can't wait to try this out! The Japanese DVD only had 2.0 surround. I was curious as to what the reviewer thought of the English speaking cast but he doesn't mention them at all. I'll have my copy in a week or so and will be reviewing it myself asap. I wasn't particularly impressed with the dub. I didn't like Syaoran, Sakura or Mokona's voices that much. Kurogane, Fai and Yuuko sounded just fine, except the pronunciation of "Kurogane" was completely screwed up, and they've made Fai say some stupid lines to fill up the mouth flaps (The Kuro-wan jokes don't translate very well). The translation didn't feel like it was very close to the fansubs that I've seen, but then I haven't watched the first episodes in a while. The audio quality was good, as far as I could tell (my ears were ringing since the sound was on full blast in the theater...), though the video quality was a little poor, especially when the Loop ending played.
